Developing early writing Spelling Units of work Stand-alone lessons	Progression in Phonics The Progression in Phonics book outlines progression in teaching and learning phonics in seven steps which are linked to the objectives in the National Literacy Strategy Framework for Teaching. Activities for whole-class teaching are suggested for each step and instructions and materials for these activities are provided so that phonics may be taught in a lively, interesting and interactive manner. In addition electronic whiteboard files can be annotated onscreen using the Interactive Whiteboard tools. These annotations can be saved and revisited for later use.
